Special session: Synergies between AI and Software Engineering (SYNAISE)
The synergy between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Software Engineering (SE) is increasingly pivotal in today’s technological landscape, with benefits flowing in both directions. On the one hand, AI enhances SE and KE by introducing intelligent automation, predictive analytics that revolutionizes development processes. On the other hand, as AI models become more complex and data-intensive, KE and SE provides the methodologies and tools necessary to manage this complexity and to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable AI systems.
The 2nd edition of this special session aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from SE, KE and AI to exchange about benefits, limitations and challenges of integrating AI with SE. Relevant topics include but are not limited to:
(1) AI for SE : Application of AI, especially Generative AI (Gen AI) and Large Language Models (LLM) in Software Engineering Tasks for a more effective development;

- LLM for Code Generation and Refactoring
- LLM for Test Case Generation & Intelligent Test Oracles;
- GenAI assistance in Software Modeling, Design and Transformation
- LLM for Ontology Learning and Knowledge Graphs Constructing
- AI-Augmented Data and Process Mining
- Gen AI and LLM in Security and Compliance : Vulnerabilities Detection, Certification
- Gen AI for Adaptive and Predictive Project Planning and Managing
(2) SE for AI : Software Engineering principles and practices for secure and scalable implementation of AI systems.

- Testing and Validation of AI systems
- Robustness, resilience and security of GenAI models

Paper Submission
The papers of this session will be printed in proceeding of main conference which will be published by IEEE and be available at the conference. Authors are invited to submit papers of up to 6 pages, written in English, in PDF format and compliant with the IEEE standard. The submissions will be peer-reviewed for originality and scientific quality.
